Mulder and Scully returned to the big screen in the summer of 2008 in the second X-files movie, I Want to Believe. Ten years after the first X-files movie was released, the waiting was over, Mulder and Scully were back investigating the supernatural in a stand alone story.

Local police in rural Virginia are mistified when a number of grotesque human remains begin to appear along the highway, leaving little to go on in the case of a number of young woman who have gone missing. When a disgraced priest claiming to have visions joins the case, it begins to look like some bizarre medical experiment is being conducted.
With the FBI's X-files department long closed down, local officials enlist the help of it's former experts, Fox Mulder and Dr Dana Scully in their investigation in an effort to uncover the truth.
